What this page is for

This page defines the default working model at Helixiora: remote-first, low-bureaucracy, and explicit on outcomes.

What you should do

  • Remote-first: Write updates and decisions so teammates can follow async.
  • Flexible hours: Keep shared availability visible in calendar and Slack status.
  • Async before sync: Default to docs/messages, use meetings when speed or complexity requires it.
  • Focus time: Protect blocks for deep work and signal when you are heads-down.
  • Ownership: Drive work to completion and surface blockers early.
  • Keep experimenting: Actively look for better AI tools and workflows instead of settling for the current default.
  • Definition of done: Work is done when the outcome is delivered, documented, and handoff-ready.

Remote work and laptop security

Remote-first work does not lower the security baseline. If you work from home, while traveling, or from shared spaces, you are expected to protect your laptop and work sessions in practical ways.

  • Keep your laptop with you, or locked away, when it is not in use.
  • Do not leave work devices visible in cars, hotel lobbies, cafes, or other public places.
  • Lock your screen whenever you step away, even briefly.
  • Use full-disk encryption, automatic locking, and OS updates as part of the standard laptop setup.
  • Be careful with screens and conversations in public or shared spaces where others can see or overhear client or company information.
  • Report lost or stolen devices immediately using the route in Security & Data Handling.

Who owns or approves it

Leadership reinforces these norms and approves company-wide working expectations.

Where to go in the tool stack

  • Slack for daily coordination and status visibility
  • ClickUp for priorities and handoffs
  • ClickUp Docs for decision records and process notes

What happens if something goes wrong

If expectations are unclear, ask leadership to clarify scope, urgency, and ownership. If blockers persist, escalate early rather than letting work stall silently.
